കാലടി സർവകലാശാലയിലെ പ്രതീകാത്മക പ്രതിഷേധത്തിന്റെ പേരിൽ ഗവർണർ, ഡിജിപിയെയും പിന്നീട് പിഎസ്‌സി സെക്രട്ടറിയെയും വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തിയത് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ച്, സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഒരു സർക്കാരുണ്ടോ എന്ന് പിണറായി ചോദിച്ചു.

ഭരണഘടനാപരമായ പരിധികൾ ലംഘിച്ച് ഗവർണറെ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് കേരളത്തിൽ ആർഎസ്എസ് ഭരണം നടത്താനുള്ള നീക്കങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ യുവജനത ഒന്നിക്കണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു. വഖഫ് നിയമവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കേരളം സുപ്രീം കോടതിയെ സമീപിച്ച കാര്യം പരാമർശിച്ച പിണറായി, അമുസ്ലിങ്ങളെ ഒഴിവാക്കി വഖഫ് ബോർഡ് പുനഃസംഘടിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള നീക്കത്തെയും വിമർശിച്ചു.
